North Geelong Warriors

We are looking for Juniors & Miniroos level coaches

North, we have a problem. It’s a good problem, but we need some help nonetheless.

Due to big growth in numbers at Juniors & Miniroos level (👏) we need additional coaches at almost every age group.

There is no need to have coached previously; our committee, network of experienced coaches, and Junior Technical Director will guide & assist you.

Training will be Weds & Fri evening at this stage; the season runs from April-August.

We would dearly love to engage some eager North parents or supporters to help us nurture our Next Gen Warriors 🛡️

Tag anyone who might be keen, email ngwfcjuniors@gmail.com

Club gets accreditation in the Game Changer program

Throughout the year a crew of dedicated club volunteers have been working towards achieving our first level of club accreditation in the Game Changer program.

We’re delighted to have been awarded our 1-star certificate in recognition of our progress and dedication towards embedding and promoting women’s football.

Huge thanks to Josip Zilic, Stipe Kump & Denis Vodopic for attending workshops, documenting activities and engaging our community.

Our Hub Heroes

Thank you to our Hub Heroes!

We were privileged to host 32 junior teams on two occasions last month as the Miniroos Hubs came to Elcho Park.

Both days were great fun, made possible because of the incredible planning by our junior committee and tireless work by our volunteer army.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Hubs a success!

Happy Mother’s Day to all mums

It takes a village to raise a child

The phrase “it takes a village to raise a child” originates from an African proverb and translates to taking many people to provide a safe, healthy environment for children, where children are given the security they need to develop and flourish, and to be able to realise their hopes and dreams. We’re immensely proud of our village.

In the latest uplift at the club, we see how a group of people have come together to install new seating in our stands (where we recently displayed some roof and electrical refurbishments).

The crew of volunteers were amazing!

This project came about through the kind donation of our community partner AHD Geelong (Croatian Club Geelong). When recently seeing our project list, they were quick to consider our needs and wanted to provide the support that enhances the club’s and therefore the community’s experience.

Our deepest gratitude to the Committee of AHD Geelong and our wonderful volunteers for the consideration and service they provide to the club for you.

We’re also delighted that we were able to share some of the old blue plastic chairs with Bell Park Sports Club for work replacing seats in their stand.
