About OUR JBNPL program

The Junior Boys NPL (JBNPL) Victoria is a statewide football competition for boys playing in four age groups: U14, U15, U16 and U18.

It is the highest level of junior football in Victoria, and provides a pathway for players to progress to the senior NPL Victoria competition, and ultimately to professional football.

The JBNPL Victoria is divided into four qualification conferences (North, East, South and West). 48 clubs compete 11 rounds of qualification for entry to divisions 1, 2 or 3.

The JBNPL Victoria competition is highly competitive, and provides a great opportunity for our young warriors to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

In 2023, North Geelong JBNPL teams placed in division 1 for every age group.

Our program includes:

• 3 x 90 minute training sessions a week
• 1 session a week on a FIFA accredited synthetic field at the Leisuretime Centre
• Pre-season friendlies
• FA qualified coaching
• A commitment to player development and progression

TRIAL AND SEASON DATES:

• Trials are usually in October based on Football Victoria’s calendar.
• Preseason starts in Nov for around six weeks and recommences around mid January
• Qualification phase starts in February (11 rounds).
• Regular season starts in April. Most games are played on Sundays, some can be schedules for Saturday incl. double-header weekends.
• Season is 33 games in total (11 games qualification, 22 regular home and away season games)
