Zoe Tizard selected for the national futsal team

North Geelong Warriors has long held a connection to representative teams, be it juniors, youth or senior level National duties. It is great to see that tradition continue as we recognise and applaud the efforts of Zoe Tizard.

Zoe a 23 year old midfielder for the North Geelong Warriors has been an avid student of futsal as well as football and her decorated career takes another step to where dreams come true, being selected for the National team in the International Federation of Futbol de Salon Women’s World Cup in March.

Facing formidable teams from Europe, South and North America, Zoe’s excitement was shared with us, “I’m delighted and grateful to be selected, sharing the journey with some familiar players (Paige Daly and Jess Au), but to face Argentina in the group is going to test us and that’s exciting and on top of that if we progress through the group we face Brazil and that’s a dream come true”.

Zoe is a familiar face to Geelong football being a part of Barwon, Rangers, Galaxy, Bell Park and the last few seasons with North Geelong Warriors. Starting the passion at nine years of age, a perfect example of dedication and drive to get the best out of yourself.

The entire region stands with you Zoe. Go get ’em.
