Pre-NPL development program

Our senior team plays in the National Premier Leagues (Victoria) and our Junior boys (U14 -U18) play in the JBNPL (Junior Boys National Premier Leagues)  – the top level of junior competition in the state.

Our Pre-NPL development program for U12, U13 aims to support passionate and skilled players to transition from Geelong Community or Miniroos competitions to the stronger statewide JBNPL competition at U14.

Our Pre-NPL development program is aligned with our NPL program including pre-season kick-off, practice matches and a commitment to player development.

The program includes:

• Teams competing in Melbourne’s Western Metro league
• Minimal playing squads sizes of approx. 11-12 players (9 v 9 game format) to increase game minutes
• 3 x 90 minute training sessions a week
• 1 session a week on a FIFA accredited synthetic field at the Leisuretime Centre
• Pre-season friendlies
• U13 players invited to participate in 11v11 practise matches to prepare for U14

Dates:

• Trials are usually in October/November based on Football Victoria’s calendar.
• Preseason starts in Nov for around six weeks and recommences around mid January

• Home and away playing kits
• Training kits (for new players)
• Bag or jacket.
