North Geelong Warriors AGM welcomes in a new President for the coming season.
North Geelong Warriors Football Club held its AGM on the 7th December and welcomed in a new president to steer the club for the next 12 months along with some new additions.
After the departure of President John Didulica from the club in June 2021, to take up the Football Director’s role at Melbourne Victory, North Geelong steered through the remainder of 2021 with the current board until the AGM.
Former player and current committee member Tom Trupkovic, who had overseen the Club Operations portfolio over the past few years, was elevated to the role of President, with Ivan Volarevic as Vice President.
One of the major highlights of the AGM is witnessing the inclusion of six female committee members, It is one thing to promote the growth of sport but to attract interest and grow the interest at an administration level is something the club can take great pride in.
North Geelong was thankful to its ever-loyal base of volunteers that get the job done every year with wonderful enthusiasm. Highlighted in the $500,000 worth of funded works including new lighting to Grounds 2 and 3, fencing and pavement works, new player and referee benches, new fencing around Hume Reserve 3 (thanks to Councillor Eddy Kontelj and City of Greater Geelong) and a glowing report from Football Victoria regarding its operations and compliancy.
With wonderful growth in participation including over 120 female participants, 150 Miniroos and 100 NPL Players 2022 and beyond look very prosperous.
