Warriors’ coach Zeljko Gagula couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the draw early Tuesday afternoon, but after the initial shock he has openly stated we will certainly not be going to CB Smith Reserve with the intention of flying the white flag.
“We’re been drawn in the only all NPL2 clash and mind you, against a side that made it through to the quarter finals of the actual final round nationally last year!” explained coach Gagula.
“But we are North Geelong, we are the Warriors! We fear no one and we are ready for the challenge,” he sounded out an ominous warning to the Zebras.
At the time of writing, the exact details were yet to be confirmed for the actual fixture, which is supposed to be contested this coming weekend.
