Being a true warrior has little to do with football and everything to do with character. True warriors are made from a lifetime on experience, decisions and guidance… Here are some of the principles of a warrior.

  1. A warrior holds a single focus, the objective, the mission, the goal.
  2. A warrior loves a battle. A warrior always fights and never gives up, always competing until the final whistle. Warriors overcome challenges and adversity.
  3. A warrior knows there are no shortcuts and accepts daily discipline as a way of life.
  4. A warrior has patience – not everything happens according to their timeline.
  5. A true warrior does the right thing in the face of obstacles and opposition
  6. A warrior is always humble. A warrior is always focused so never has time to indulge in ego.
  7. A warrior is courageous. They feel fear but take action anyway.
  8. A warrior requires 100% mental strength and physical strength.
  9. A true warrior keeps their head held high, never dropping their head in the face of failure or setback.
  10. A true warrior stands up for the people that are suffering, team mates that are struggling, friends and colleagues that need help.
  11. A warrior’s actions speak louder than words.
  12. A warrior battles with integrity, is honest and has strong moral principles.
  13. A true warrior fights for the team, leads by example, and isn’t focused on what they can get for themselves.
  14. A true warrior is brave, faces adversity and learns to take risks. To do this well, warriors learn to stay calm within themselves and access a relaxed state of mind to test their resilience and skill.
  15. A true warrior is resilient. In life, there’s going to be struggle. Warriors don’t allow external circumstances to shake their spirit.
  16. A warrior’s health and wellbeing are paramount to fulfilling personal, professional, and team duties.
  17. A true warrior is disciplined. They have the ability to restrain themselves, to control impulses, desires, or emotions for the sake of improvement.
  18. A true warrior does not make excuses for failure.
