Gagula joins senior coaching staff

North Geelong Warriors FC is delighted to announce that Željko Gagula has joined the clubs senior coaching staff for 2020.

Željko will be joined by Stuart Begg and Adrian Čagalj who have extended their tenure at the club for another season

Gagula is an experienced coach who has previously spent time as the head coach of Preston Lions, as well as head coach for the U21’s at Melbourne Knights FC and St Albans Dinamo.

For the last couple of seasons, Željko has been heavily involved in the junior system at Melbourne Knights FC.

“First of all I would like to thank both Josip Skoko and John Didulica for the opportunity to move forward with such a progressive club.” Gagula said.

“What appealed to me the most about the North Geelong Warriors was the fact that the people involved are football oriented, which is a crucial factor for long term success.”

“I am very much looking forward to working with the club.”

Stuart Begg is also delighted to remain at the Warriors for another season. “I am really happy to be involved with the Warriors in season 2020 and also working with Željko. We have a very similar mindset and we will be looking to continue where we left of last season.”

“We have a very young squad, they will be a little older and wiser after last year’s experiences. So I know the players and the club will be looking to keep the momentum going.”

“It’s a pleasure to continue to be involved with the playing group and the club.”

We are delighted to have secured the services of Željko, Stuart and Adrian and look forward to a big year at Elcho Park.
